Apple changed the format of True-Type to a more flexible standard and successfully introduce it into the new operating system. With the advent of the latest versions of Mac OS X is now available on both the world's dominant operating systems. The TTF format files refer to the basic set of Windows TrueType fonts. No matter if the new Windows 11/ 10 / 8.1, or the old Windows 7. Like TTF, the OTF (Open Type fonts) are readable in all font sizes and can be sent to any printer or other output device supported by Windows. However, they have an extended basic character set (small caps, numbers, more complex shapes, glyphs, ligatures). OpenType fonts (similar to TrueType fonts) are supported. They can be used with all printers and other devices for output. TTF versus OTF true-type fonts can be adjusted to any size and remain legible.
